SoftPerfect IP Calculator is a free desktop application for IPv4 and IPv6 subnet calculations. It provides detailed network and mask information including CIDR notation, host ranges, wildcard masks, and address scope classification.
A binary bit visualisation displays all 32 (IPv4) or 128 (IPv6) address bits with colour-coded network and host portions, making it easy to see how prefix length changes affect the address boundary. Interactive subnet planning lets you enumerate subnets, then split and join them on a proportional bar chart to create custom allocation layouts, with full undo/redo support.
The VLSM calculator allocates variable-length subnets from a parent network based on named host requirements, minimising address waste. Route summarisation (supernetting) consolidates multiple CIDR networks into the smallest set of summary routes. Overlap detection compares a list of networks and identifies containment, identity, and overlap relationships with a visual network map.
Available in 26 languages with light and dark themes. Results can be exported to CSV or HTML. Runs on Windows (32/64-bit, ARM64), macOS and Linux. No installation required (portable version available), no external services or subscriptions.
